Riku was born on the 25th of May, 1997 in the kennel Whiptails. Riku has three litter brothers and a sister.

Riku moved to South Ostrobothnia as soon as he was 8 weeks. He used to adopt the ways to behave of Pelle the pharaoh hound. They sure have had some fun at home ! Also the cat Nekku has been involved with their plays.

Riku is almost exactly like her mother of his character. He is a very typical whippet; he loves to sleep in the bed and in the sofas. He is always ready to go outside – except when there is rainy weather. Of course running free is his passion.

Like Pelle, Riku is interested in shows, lure coursing and agility. Riku got his Swedish Ch title in Piteå Int on the 8th of July 2001. And he got his Estonian Ch title in Tallinna about a month later.

Riku is now retired, just having fun at home.
